My name is Hayk Karapetian, I am an artist from Armenia, Yerevan. I find it hard to define myself in a specific profession, because of the variety of my skills and interests, however they are all focused around visual and audio-visual media. I work in animation, filmmaking, 3D modelling, illustration, photography, music, game design, product design, and when I take on projects, be it in arts/entertainment or somewhere else entirely, I make use of my skills to achieve something interesting and exciting. A very big part of all my works is the research, one of my most useful skills is learning and studying the world around me, from grand and confusing themes to very specific and focused info-pools. In environments unfamiliar to me, I am able to orient myself very well.

I have gotten my middle and high school education in Yerevan's Ayb school and spent my graduation year in Yerevan's Kojoyan school of art. Then I went to study cinematography in Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema, but dropped out a year later. Currently, I am focused on moving pictures, making films and animations, journaling and archiving of media and occasionally writing soundtracks.

 

When I get an idea or a project I like, I am very determined to work and sometimes, if necessary, force it into creation.
